SPOON - This "Wire Spoon" is a MUST HAVE if you're wiring
your own airplane or working on avionics. This little device is
used for threading wires into already secured bundles, and is a
lifesaver! It saves a bundle of time and every homebuilder should
have one in their toolbox. We use these extensively! |

Avionics
Tray Screwdriver. These are nice little #1 Philips bit
screwdrivers with a screw holder on the end made by us specifically for
installing the backshells and connectors into deep radio racks.
They are nice little lightweight screwdrivers that we've put the spring
hold on and added a 12" extension. The overall length is 18".
These are not industrial strength screwdrivers, but are made
specifically for working inside those hard to reach racks!
Note: The screw in the pictures is they typical #4-40
countersunk screw and this little driver works great with it - not
cheap, but then again they are hand made! |

Tungsten
Mini Bucking Bar. This little bugger packs a big punch!
Tungsten is nearly 200% more dense that plain steel bucking bars, and
even more so than cast bucking bars. This bar is 1" x 1" x 2".
We've built a number of RV's with these this particular bar and can
attest to their usability. This bar weighs about 1.5 lbs.
It's equally as heavy as the same bars in the pictures posted! We use
these things almost exclusively for 99% of our riveting (including the
RV-7 we're building now). EVERY RV or other metal plane builder
should not be without one of these little mini-bars in your toolbox. Try
it and you'll love it!

Daniels Mil
Spec Crimper, AFM8. M22520/2-01.
Uses positioners below (not
included). These are the highest quality US made crimpers
available. Not cheap, but definitely the best professional
quality. If you're only crimping a couple pins, then the import 4
indent crimper below is just fine, but it if you're doing an entire
panel of avionics, then this crimper is definitely worth the money.
It crimps both standard and high density pins with the appropriate
positioners below. Made in USA. Note, this is the same tool sold
elsewhere for $400-600.00! There are other brands, but not higher
quality and better known than Daniels. Almost every airline,
military branch and professional shop use these tools! |
