1K ohm resistor for vertical power.
Starter Annunciation:
This 1k resistor is used on the vertical power system for Starter Annunciation on the J2 connector, pin 11 (J2-11) . This pin measures voltage on the starter (or switched) side of the starter contactor and reports it to the EFIS for display. If enabled on the EFIS, an annunciator appears whenever the starter contactor is engaged.
Aux battery voltage measurement:
This 1k resistor can also be used for the Vertical Power System for aux battery voltage measurement on J2 connector, pin 12 (J2-12). This pin measures voltage and reports it to the EFIS for display. A resistor should be placed in-line near the aux battery to provide circuit protection for the wire.
